Bryce Canyon & Zion 2009

For my last workshop of the year, I traveled to Bryce Canyon & Zion National Parks in Utah. We started in Bryce.

We also hike down into the canyon for a different view.

There was a full moon while we were there and we shot one night by moonlight.

We arrived at Zion just in time for fall color in the canyons.

Zion has some of the best rock formations in the Southwest.

Once again Bryce and Zion proved to be two of Utah's best parks.

Acadia & the Maine Coast 2009

I continued my exploration of New England with a trip to Maine. The fall color remained very good and the weather continued to be very variable. We started with some great sunrises and sunsets.

Fall color was very good in the park, perhaps not even yet peak in some areas.

We also photopraghed many typical Maine scenes.

We even found where Pooh lives.

The Maine workshop provided many good photo opportunities and many lobsters were consumed.

New Hampshire 2009

After Vermont, I traveled a short distance to New Hampshire. The fall color remained very good for the workshop. The temperatures remained colder than normal but photo opportunities were good. New Hampshire is less farms and covered bridges than Vermont, but we still found some to photograph.

There were many opportunities for fall color intimate landscapes.

Moving water with fall foliage opportunities were all around.

New Hampshire as uusal was full on autumn landscape opportunites. I'm off to Acadia and the Maine coast next.

Vermont 2009

The Vermont workshop had some outstanding color and every kind of weather imaginable. We also found a big variety of subjects starting with the farms, bridges, churches, and other structures that make Vermont famous.

We also explored and photgraphed the more "natural" areas of the state.

The last morning we also had fresh snow on the ground and trees, providing some unique photo opportunities.

I'm off to New Hampshire next.
