High Island 2010
After the Hill Country workshop I traveled down to Winnie and met James Saxon. He took me to High Island, a fantastic location for migrating birds and nesting egrets and spoonbills.
High Island is one of the best locations for birds anywhere.
Very nice spoonbill and egret photos. I should have returned to the egret and spoonbill area with you instead of concentrating on the tanagers. I really like the pano of the egret in flight. Don't know that I have ever seen a pano like that. I returned to High Island yesterday and the numbers of songbirds has dwindled and I expect all to be gone no later than next weekend. I will have to concentrate on the spoonbills and egrets. I am still going through my images and have not had time to process many. I will send some to update my gallery.
