Yosemite 2009

Yosemite was at it best for this year's workshop. The water seemed to be even higher than normal for this time of year, and the streams and waterfalls were roaring. The dogwood blooms were peaking everywhere and the lupine were blooming through out the park, but best in the Wawona area, where there were fields of them.

We began by exploring in Yosemite Valley.

All areas of the park were opened, with the Tioga road opening the first day of the workshop. As we approached the weekend and the holiday crowds, we moved to work in the high country.

Although Yosemite is not primarily a wildlife workshop, we found some critters to photograph. We even saw a bear!

Yosemite is one of the premier photography locations in the National Park system and this year's trip offered unlimited opportunities.
